I have been an intercessor for over 35 years, have studied Imprecatory prayer about the same amount of time. Pastor Randy Adler was my pastor for 20 years. He was raised up under Bishop Bill Hamon as a prophet. Randy Adler was one of the first to write about Imprecatory Prayer in the early 80s (How to Pray for Terrorist). It was during a time some of you might remember when there was a sniper in San Ysidro Ca who was shooting and murdering people at the McDonalds down there (It was on national Television). Pastor Adler distinctly heard the Lord say to “pray that man dies a violent death”, when he did speak the word the bullet went through the snipers head killing him instantly and stopping the bloodshed.
I really restled with what he said, and the whole concept in general, but with further study and looking into the scriptures I saw not only the validity of it, but the necessity as well.
Since this I have studied with Pastor Al Houghton (A Pastor, Theologian and a spiritual father). Who has written various books, “Jesus and Justice” and “The sure mercies of David” where he goes into the covenental aspect of this type of praying. I highly recommend his books.
